Dear loyal customers,

We, the designers of the popular ‘Kurt.App’, are excited to announce the new version launches today.

While initial beta feedback has shown that this release runs slower than early versions, we hope you will see that the 6.0 (Project name: Old School) has some notable improvements. (Read the following release notes)

In work mode, the user experience has been re-designed with 50% less white-boarding and 15% fewer metaphors. This new design also has an auto-shutdown mode. We think this is a significant improvement from previous versions when work-mode ran constantly in the background and caused processor burn-out and forced system reboot.

We are also optimistic that this new release resolves the ‘walk into the room and just start talking’ errors that key users encountered during the Work-from-Home pandemic.

In this 6.0 release, we also addressed some of the user feedback that the joke processing algorithm was throwing error-codes. Users have reported that in previous versions, jokes were marked as ‘funny’ even when the joke-teller was the only one who laughed. (And jokes were given ‘re-tell’ status even if others simply eye-rolled.) Because we seek customer satisfaction in all of our work, we have changed the software to only mark a joke as successful when 3 or more people laugh. (Just kidding, we have not changed anything in this classic feature.)

Over the course of the last few years our marketing team worked together with leading experience designers — the team has chosen a new look and feel; The muted gray colors and rounder graphics are designed to give the application a ‘wiser’ look. We hope you like it — it also comes with a 10% discount when grocery shopping on Wednesdays even without asking. (Sorry, toggling back to the classic look is not possible.)

While we have had repeated requests to remove the ‘Get off My Lawn’ feature, the Board of Directors concluded that there may be conditions in which this feature is required. Instead of removing it entirely, we have added an administrative function. With a combination of hand gestures and voice commands you can toggle-it-off — by simply raising your hand up, and saying “It will be fine. It’s ok.”

Significant changes to not-retired assist have been made. In international mode, this feature’s UX will focus on culture, friends, big ideas and great food (+ Wifi). The design team has also removed the previous mapped conference rooms and convention centers. While there is no scheduled feature release on domestic mode — we are confident in our product roadmap these features will be a cornerstone for the App’s work wherever brand promise.

At Kurt.app, we are committed to support big ideas that will matter to the world — that love is love and that we are only borrowing our planet from future generations.

With this as the cornerstone, we believe our most important investment we have made in this release to empathy processing platform. Together with our Spin-off Jess.app and partner brand Angela.app we are committed to working against the injustice, persecution and the big-winning-over-right that is happening everywhere. Together, we believe this work is vital for our world.

Look forward to further releases in upcoming years as to how Kurt.app invests in our future.

The members of the product development team are working on a series of small launch events designed for intimate-scale training, feature reviews and good food and laughs. If you wish to be included in these events, do not hesitate to reach out to customer support.

I love a good story. I am magnetically attracted to a blank canvas, smart people, and can’t help but jump on a soapbox to defend the big idea.
